Small, modern British. Probably like Clove Club used to be when it was tiny!
Smooth sound system is smoooth.
Good temporary exhibitions. Not much else.
Our office Christmas dinner was mostly MEAT, which I can't really rate, but the Spanish people highly recommend this tapas place in an area otherwise void of decent restaurants
Supper club style restaurant we went to for Vlad's 30th. Home made limoncello. Pidgincello. Lovely and intimate, delicious vegetarian menu.
Cool, off the radar arts and theatre space well beneath Waterloo station, with a really multicultural offering
All graffiti, everywhere - plus a cool arts and events space at The Vaults
I've never eaten here but have bought many of their really great wine selection. Staff can make a pretty good recommendation too!
Bill Granger wants to make London fat. His Aussie cafes can do no wrong.
You can have some food or drinks here and forego the £25 charge to see London from The View at the Shard
A singular type of gastropub that makes no compromises on the quality of cooking, nor a warm welcome to the locals who've frequented this corner for pint for generations. Fun, loud, delicious.

Delicious variations on amazing vegetables from Yotam Ottolenghi. Brunch similar to other venues, curious about lunch and dinner.
This is a gluten free cupcake that does not taste like a gluten free cupcake. It tastes amazing.

A fairly decent coffee place in Angel. Not many roasts to choose from though.
I can't remember much of the mains but dessert blew me away

Modern British cuisine where even the vegetarian menu works!
1 Michelin starred Peruvian in London. Funky, spicy flavours and colourful plates, nice change from the modern European stuff around the area.
Amongst all the schnitzel and bratwurst some nice veggie stews and mains

Sandwiches and daily soups = win
Same great food as in Redchurch St, far more room to sit and a bloody lovely garden when it's sunny (if you forget there's traffic beyond its walls)
Shakshuka!

So good, yet so tiny and always busy. Nice detour if in Covent Garden but long forgotten since East London's rise.
"Steadying" food, as chef Fergus Henderson would say. Incredibly simple, incredibly delicious food. Incredible quality too. Large portions. Everybody should share. Reservation is a must. I recommend.

Feel important reading morning papers with some eggs at 8 AM. Or having tea and scones.
Best sushi place in the Marylebone area with an understated but intimate feel to it
Breakfast and pastries here are delicious (before 12 if you get a seat)
The coffee yes, the waiting times definitely not
