Excellent viennoiserie in the Dog Patch. Limited seating outside on the sidewalk. Serves De La Paz coffee/espresso. I highly recommend.

Wise Sons pastrami downtown! Cafe with incredible reubens, babka + De La Paz coffee. In the Contemporary Jewish Museum (no admission required) with a takeout window too (and plenty of outdoor seating).

Delicious Indian, more complexity and depth of flavor than you'd expect from such a casual outfit.

Japanese gourmet rice balls, with fillings from beef to shrimp to lotus root. Also has a food cart which you'll find at Civic Center on weekends, among other locations.

Great casual lunch spot for Japanese curry - I alternate between pork and chicken katsu. Gets very busy at peak times, but you can order ahead!

Delicious falafel and hummus. Also try the chicken shawarma and sabik (fried eggplant). One of my favorite lunch options downtown.

A great tailor I've been using for years. Father and son have deftly handled everything from small patches to shirt tailoring and replacing my coat lining. Highly recommended.
