Unpretentious and hole in the wall fish restaurant. Bright character and lighting has outdoor seating as well. Simple clean food with some inventive dishes as well.
Cute wine bar with charming owner who will guide you through the wines available by the glass. Food available too, but the kitchen is limited to salads, grilled things, sandwiches, and the like. Sit outside year round (heat lamps in winter) and watch the passerbys on Via Scarlatti.

A classic destination for a margherita with mozzarella di bufala. Though it used to be my favorite, other new upstart pizzerias (such as 50 Kalò and Pepe in Grani) have captured my heart.

Super simple old school trattoria; quite compact. Get a first course, second course, fruit/dessert, wine and water for less than 15€. The elderly owners will come around to recite the small menu and make sure you're having a good time.

The son of the pizzaiolo who runs "il presidente". Clinton ate there during his 1994 G7 trip to Naples. The sons place is more gaudy but can be a great fallback when the lines at DiMatteo or Sorbillo are too long.

The lesser-known but better-preserved alternative to Pompei.
After you have an antipasto of scarpetta di ragù you will eat a primo with ragù, followed (if you haven't burst yet) by a secondo, also featuring ragù. Not for the faint of heart, although they do have vegetarian ragù made with seitan. Yum yum.
Tiny but very well curated museum in a magnificently restored 17th century palazzo. Has one of the 3 Caravaggios still left in Naples. You could see most of this place in 30 minutes, small but powerful.
You will want *all* the flavors! Don't blame me...
Best ice cream in Vomero, if not Naples. You walk in and it feels like a dairy. Do one thing, but do it well.
It's just so good. But don't take my word for it! NY Times says: "Resist the temptation to defect to the other, less crowded pizzeria called Sorbillo on the same street, because it’s worth waiting for this traditional pizza margherita (3.30 euros): tomato, mozzarella and basil on a soft, chewy crust that inevitably will sag over the edge of your plate onto the table." Grand caffe, as the sign says. Classic Italian bel epoca caffe. Leave a caffe sospeso if you are feeling generous. Also a great place to sit outside and people watch with a Spritz on a summer evening.

Classic and amazing espresso. Gruff barmen dish the good stuff. Skip the cappuccino and pastries.
Bar in a record store. Hopping youth hangout in the evenings past 8pm.
High brow shopping in the high part of Naples (Vomero). Lots of food, shopping, and ice cream on this pedestrianized street.
Nice urban green space. Museum of ceramics inside. Be sure to checkout the view from the lowest part of the park.
The best selection of cigars and tobacco in Napoli
Don't smoke. But go here for the leather goods, gum selection, and lottery tickets. The staff is friendly and extremely tifoso del Napoli.

Neapolitan chocolate since 1894. Excellent scorzetti. Ice cream is a recent (10 years ago) addition to their repertoire, but is excellent and the tartufi are not to be missed.
Required stop. Get an overview of Naples history in a cool respite (18C year round!). Awesome candle-lit aqueducts and tromping around underground caverns.

Friendly local pizzeria with decent quality pizzas, low prices, and fast service. If you're extra hungry try the fried zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta as an appetizer.
