Nice newish addition to the Marylebone dining scene, with Italian and French inspired dishes. Focaccia w pesto was fantastic and the gazpacho was also quite good. Photo via website.

Outstanding new seafood option in Covent Garden. Tiny and convivial space so make a reservation. Head chef is Japanese and his influences pop up subtly throughout the creative menu.

Great new hotel option near Paddington. Unique rooms with lots of period details. Good food and excellent coffee in the restaurant.

Seasonal farm to table dishes made with local ingredients (are you sensing a trend with my recommendations?). On the back of the menu, they even note the farms and distances where they get everything! For dinner, they offer a 6 course tasting menu for £65, which is what we got. It was fantastic and quite a bit of food. We also mentioned it was our anniversary, and they gave us a complimentary dessert.

Barista champions slinging excellent coffee with welcoming service. Strong non-dairy options, and the hot chocolate and matcha are nothing to sniff at. Well worth a detour.

The slightly more quirky, curated department store alternative to Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, housed in an impressive Tudor building just off Oxford Street. Go for more niche clothing brands.
Charming old department store. A fun alternative to Selfridges or Harrods, and more than a little posh!
Tiny. 7 seats at the counter. Quirky phone-only reservation system. So worth it. Probably the best sushi in London, if not Europe. I have found my place.

Excellent Peruvian tucked in a basement on Marylebone high street. Well conceived menu - sea bream ceviche is a must, as is the melt-in-mouth lomo saltado (beef cheek). plantains with a malt sauce were also a hit. Service was sporadic - seems like they're still getting used to newfound trendiness.

Have to say I would not recommend. Had a meal that ended up being very expensive compared to other places I found far better - and out of four only one dish I really liked - the Aubergine which is a signature Ottolenghi dish. Stick to the Ottolenghi chain in my opinion.
Adorable boutique hotel with homey touches. Really really want to stay!
Memorable grilled duck hearts. Rad wine list.
Just stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and they were serving a Sunday Roast inspired set lunch menu. A group of really solid dishes at a great price. Beautiful light and bright space and also possible to observe the happenings of the flower market outside on Sundays. Bread was particularly exceptional!

Fabulous little cafe with small and large plates that are interesting, delicious, and light. Open all day.
Informative and fun London street art tour along Brick Lane. Used to be free/donation only. A wonderful experience!
Insanely cool underground London spot. Super old school, find yourself entirely transported to another era. Sneak in to get a peek (it's supposed to be members only). Weeknights watch teenage kids duke it out while their overbearing Cockney fathers coach them from outside the ropes.
Want to go. Hat store.
Classic old school British hat shop, the go-to for dignified Londoners. Got a Panama hat there for Wimbledon that I'm in love with!
Looks like a fantastic shop for little monsters - reminds me of the Pirate Supply Store in SF.

Lovely little perfume shop with a wide array of perfumes, including some you can typically only get in Paris. Get help finding your own unique scent. Situated on the adorable Elizabeth Street, a picturesque place to spend an afternoon for coffee and window shopping.
Fun place to go, delicious dim sum dumplings and a couple other great dishes. Definitely loud and a bit of a scene but entertaining nonetheless. Bill was surprisingly steep. This is the original location - there is also one in Mayfair.
Classic coffee roaster Monmouth, ubiquitous in London, at its flagship location. Tough to find a place to sit. Whole milk only makes this a wonderfully traditional place.
Delicious, quick, and cheap. Excellent green chicken curry and loved the coconut rice. Part of a chain - have been to several locations and all hold the standard!
Giant vintage and second hand warehouse in Bethnal Green. Best in London for thrift shopping in my opinion!
Michelin rated restaurant from the Galvin Brothers in a converted Victorian chapel. High vaulted ceilings and candlelight everywhere make this a very romantic place for dinner. Book ahead online for a good deal on Chef's Menu, typically available between 6-7pm. The pigeon was exceptional, do not miss!
Quirky and wonderful little restaurant tucked away in the Town Hall Hotel. Great ambiance. Small selection and portions but for me it was perfect!
Michelin rated restaurant "The Library at Sketch" is supposed to be a pricey but amazing experience, including Swarovski encrusted decor and an other-worldly bathroom. Downstairs the club/bar/gallery area attracts the fashion industry crowd but offers a fun albeit "see and be seen" type of experience.
Try the flower dumplings, pretty and delicious

Great little Korean place for a cheap and easy bite in Soho. Most dishes are marinated meat with vegetables over rice - make sure to get the fried egg on top!

Beautiful cafe with several locations in the city. Great coffee, great staff.
Classic and charming London bookstore - selection is good but the ambiance is perfect
Best place in London for men's denim. Lots of salvage, American and Japanese denim.
Cafe with a music and movie shop inside, right by Trafalgar Square. Coffee from Square Mile and Has Bean roasters. Pastries, salads and sandwiches as well. Open Mon-Fri 7:30 - 21:00, Sat 8:30 - 21:00, Sun 10:30 - 17:30. http://notesmusiccoffee.com/

A lot of hype about this place - unfortunately, not well deserved for the food. The ambiance is incredible so it's a great place to go for a drink.....but the food was sadly only average. Went back a second time and the food was slightly better - the filet was great. Make sure to check out the back bar area and downstairs - it's like a speakeasy!
Excellent tapas. Especially loved the Morcilla Iberico, Octopus, and Lamb. Great atmosphere. No reservations!

A must have experience in London. Peruse the market stalls and try samples and fresh foods to really get a vibe of the city. Market is covered for rainy days - check opening days and hours
Classic old school Italian place. Family owned and run. Homemade pasta. Great service and moderately priced!
Upscale grocery with a small selection of fresh foods. Pricey but worth it!
One of the best meals of my life. There's no menu - you just let the chef know your likes/dislikes and out comes a parade of 12-18 dishes, each better than the last. A once in a lifetime experience.
Wonderful alternative to a traditional British teahouse experience. Chinese tea ceremony done in a small private home in a lovely garden in Notting Hill. Besides the incredible selection of teas and infusions, Pei prepares sweet treats, dumplings, and sandwiches - the selection changes weekly. Weekend afternoons only. Reserve ahead online!
Most amazing meal I've had in London. Tried two appetizers, three mains and several desserts and everything was exceptional - only made me want to try more! The "meat fruit" fois gras was the best I've ever had, as well as the tipsy cake. Try the chicken for the main. 2 Michelin Stars now.
Excellent Spanish restaurant on a darling walking street in Farringdon. Inventive combinations, fresh ingredients...every dish we tried knocked it out of the park, the starters and homemade ice cream most of all. Ambiance is lively and fun as well. Exceptional service.
Adorable little neighborhood coffee and tea spot with outdoor seating. Delicious coffee.

Lovely ladies bathing pond - a hidden gem! A beautiful pond and meadow with complete privacy, including changing rooms, diving platform, lifeguards, ping pong table, and great retro vibes. Pay a small fee to use.
Adorable little tea and coffee shop on a charming alley in Hampstead. Great pastries and lots of gluten free options as well.
Cute home goods store
Didn't eat here but walked by and the salads looked fresh and delicious!
Great old school spot in the theatre district for fish. Wood paneled and cozy. Feels like a place Churchill could have sat to eat while he made a few decisions! The mussels and Dover sole were particularly delicious. Prices were steep.
Great place for seafood. Environment is a little fancy and stuffy but they definitely know fish! Octopus carpaccio and sea bass ceviche are both to die for.

Hip, great ambiance, stick with chefs choice. Can be hit or miss!
Casual spot with fresh juices and smoothies. They carry almond milk which is nice. And a delicious homemade chia pudding.
Gymkhana far surpassed anything I thought Indian food could be! The tasting menu was divine. Favorites were the kid goat, chick pea and potato, pomegranate raita, and an otherworldly saffron pistachio ice cream concoction!
Incredibly delicious almost tapas-style Italian fare. The orecchiette and the profiteroles are both to die for. And try the lamb sweet bread if you're feeling adventurous! (Also - sit at the bar if you can't get a table)
Highly recommended
