From the founders of Hidden Kitchen. A David Lebovitz favorite. (30 Jun 2018)
New wave café on quiet street near the Palais Royale in the 1ere. Love the "noisette" (similar to espresso macchiato). Hipster tendencies. Limited seating. I recommend.
One of my favorite cafes in all of Paris.
Fun to play da Vinci code here.
This charming cafe is best enjoyed on a summer's sunny day, dining alfresco in the courtyard, serenaded by the ambient claps, jumps, and tunes from the surrounding dance salons. Both light and more traditional fare are offered. We enjoyed the lamb shoulder and beef tartare with oyster.
Classic traditional French cuisine. Service and food impeccable! The only bistro in Paris with one Michelin star. Been open since 1912 but was acquired by Alain Ducasse in 2005. Truly an experience not to miss in Paris (and don't miss the sep, cassoulet, or profiteroles while you're there!)

Well-appointed hotel, in a quiet but central arrondissement. Opt for the slightly larger room with a Japanese-style soaking tub.
Glacé. Truly delicious, with a heathy selection of sorbets.
As the NY Times describes: "Founded in 1643 by Cardinal Mazarin, prime minister for the young Louis XIV, it is the oldest public library in France...The L-shaped reading room, on the second floor, is comparatively small. From the windows on one side it looks across the river toward the Louvre, giving the place an intimate, serene air that can transport you back to the 17th century." Want to go.

Tasty pastry. The madeleines and financier were some of the best I've had.
Incredibly delicate and flavorful pastries. Only available in the salon. A stunning, if stuffy, experience.
Intimate tasting menu concept with dishes that progress in finesse as they do with course. I recommend. Later savory courses were outstanding.

Excellent Israeli restaurant. Trendy, fast food with limited seating. Delicious "sandwiches" served in warm fluffy pita with all sorts of fillings including some amazing lamb, steak, and egg combinations. And don't miss the incredible roasted cauliflower or sweet potato. Vegetarian ratatouille plate excellent too.
Tasty lamb kebab. Go early.

A charming cafe serving the classics. Duck confit, boeuf bourguinon, steak frites...half portions recommended. Some purport it's the best duck confit in Paris. It certainly wasn't bad.

One of the most inspiring French chefs. Joël Robuchon's classic French style cooking is great! You can not leave there without tasting his famous potato mousseline with about 80% butter! There will be butter, cream & truffle and you won't be hungry for a couple of days!!😆😆 they don't do light!!!
