Nice bartenders, extensive drink and oyster menu. Sweet by west coast standards.
Cute neighborhood spot for sandwiches. Pulled pork with kimchi. Farro salad. Big but good
Excellent coffee, calm environment. Food looks good.
A *fantastic* wine selection, from the best new producers in California, to small-production Australian naturals. And totally fairly priced. What a gem.

Caribbean themed bar, amazing outdoor space, and little savory pies.
Delicious juices, California in New York. Photo is of the market behind the resto.
Want to go - from the guy who owns zibetto. Southern Italy themed espresso bar (though medium roast beans from Bologna)
Truly southern Italian style coffee, including the nosy/friendly bartender. Outdoor space.

Happiness has a flaky crust. Just get one of everything. And don't forget a poppy seed bun, a zaatar labneh twist, and a chocolate rugelach. I don't know whether to thank Mira or curse her for resetting my pastry standards after my visit here.

I am quite particular about bagels. If not made properly they end up an unchewable mess or at best a firm bread. Black Seed strikes the correct balance between soft, chewy and crispy. The options for sandwiches are plenty and they add just enough schmear.
Also called Frankie and Johnny's. Paul Newman's favorite restaurant, very New York, very Bronx. Italian-American.

So preppy I thought I was in Nantucket. A decent selection of craft beers on tap.

One of the few locations in the United States.
The kind of bar you would find in Italy. Excellent coffee, pastries, beautiful boxes of baked goods. And light fare a la the Upper East Side, with prices to match.
