Nespresso machine in room, near Vondelpark, quiet, great location, modern look, and inexpensive
Tasty and with a beautiful location inside a former greenhouse

Just next to the path of crazy and tourist trap, we found this nice (relatively quiet) spot with unique cuisine. The momo was well done
Turkish influenced and wonderfully inexpensive lunch on a canal in Amsterdam. Get the Bert Burger or anything with lamb.
I almost wanted to phone a friend, Michael Molesky that is, to explain the amazing 8 course (Japanese inspired) meal I was eating. So complex, so good, a lot of ingredients imported from Japan. Best part = restaurant overlooking Amsterdam.
Sounds like a magical island pop-up dinner series each summer, with a boat ride from Amsterdam to get you there - books up well in advance. Via Restaurant As. Want to go.

A fantastic recommendation by Brian, as well as our friend at Glouglou. A five or seven course set daily menu (€55/80), humble ingredients made exquisite in a small galley kitchen right across the counter from the handful of tables. The classic, unassuming woody interior is lost in time (accompanied by chansons of a bygone era), while the dishes are consistently bright and balanced. I won't soon forget their thoughtful French-focused wine list. Worth a detour.
Another great place from the description I can get massive brownie points. Marked for my marks.
Small local salad & soup chain. Healthy options include a mostly vegan menu. Oat and almond milk for coffee; pulling Bocca espresso. Smoothies, juices, and friendly staff. Stops seating in the dining room a half hour before closing, however, takeout is available.
Speakeasy cocktails, also recommended by Riccardo at 108. Want to go. Photo via @twinshadow7 (Instagram).
I have a feeling about this one, must try.
Fantastic natural wine bar. Just enough irreverent attitude, full of great posters on the walls. You'll want to spend a whole evening outside on a warm night.
My wife is going to love this!
An inventive cocktail list. Such a good vibe. The one cocktail bar you'll want to visit while in AMS.
Must go
Sounds like a special dining experience. Locally sourced ingredients, relaxing atmosphere, off the beaten path. Want to go. Photo via @blackpigment (Instagram).

Awesome small plates and steaks. Recommended, but not for a light meal! Excellent service.

Covered market and food hall with local vendors. I had the silence of the lamb burger at The Butcher
Adorable coffee bar with good music, pastries, very good coffee and wifi. I'm a fan!
