Arepas, pupusas, tamales, yucca, tres leches, and spicy slaw
Stuffed tater tots, Butcher Steak w/ chimi, and the Outrigger for your drink
Smoked and then wood fire lamb shank = likely best ever. This place is a hidden KC gem
Nice mix of craft beers, decent happy hour spot. Cheese Steak is purportedly Famous, but I like the Bengal Tiger Pizza
Lived in KC for years - first time here - best museum (aside from Nelson Atkins) and tour in Kansas City
Small, counter order, NY and Wood fire pizza place with an eclectic menu. The Korean Beef is specialty smoked locally and brought in for the Korean Pizza
Pleasant stop for a glass of classic super Tuscan & salted caramel budino or hazelnut torta. Dinner is pleasant classic Italian faire, but nothing that is extraordinary or pops from the norm. I'd stick with wine and dessert
My KC go-to for burnt ends and fries. Get the ribs if you like them shaggy. Love the high-acid sauce. Prepare to get smoked along with your meat.
Anything, I love the burnt ends
Fresh sausage charcuterie is a must, cozy atmosphere - nice stop for drinks and appetizers.
Exceptional coffee - but - DO NOT leave this place without trying at least two slices of the daily fresh made bread (or else your trespass will not be forgiven)
NOMA trained chef provides a delightful menu, a touch on the Nordic side. Wish portion sizes were a bit larger, but overall great wine list and diverse menu
Neapolitan-style pizza. Elastic dough, soft middle. Good, but I worry about consistency due to large menu and volume of diners during peak hours. Open until 01:00, which is rare for Kansas City.
Want to go.
Say yes to spicy butter chicken.....I know it's cliché....but it's good
Would you like a table with your pancake? Try the Greek, Philly, or loaded Italian omelette
KC = hidden beauty. Kauffman is a gem. I'd put it at top 5 for design and venue for the performing arts
Red curry and Pad Thai fusion
Can't miss this if you are in Kansas City. Walk across the street to Union Station after your visit
Better than the Uffizi, Art Institute of Chicago, etc... Best attraction in KC
KC BBQ at its finest, ribs, cheesy corn, and burnt ends.
Brunch...do it...Pork Belly and Waffle combo + craft beer
Championship meat sweats
I love it, get the Chipolte sausage, that is the only words you will say the rest of the day. You probably will name your child Chipolte Sausage after you eat here
Better bread in KC you won't find. "Orchard" loaf is my favorite, full of raisins, apricots, and walnuts. Open Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays only, until sell-out. Go early. I highly recommend.
Seriously, I need to stalk this ulterior epicure for good spots in KC
On the sixth day, Jesus creates Boulevard Tank 7 and 80 Acre. Mikkeller dreams of this beer.
My favorite breakfast/lunch spot in the city. Simple, Americana done well. Mismatched interior is homey. I highly recommend.

Love their sense of humble humor, or "Midwestern Modesty." Espresso-centric. Ever-changing roasters. Wifi. Breakfast burritos, pastries, Jiffy Mix.

Same owners, recently renamed (was Oklahoma Joe's). Most consistent BBQ in KC. Get the ribs, chicken, fries and slaw. Long lines. Get here early for lunch, or late afternoon. Can call ahead for takeaway. Multiple locations. You'll want to come to this location, the original. Highly recommend.
Amazing all the time
Small, but sleek art museum. Rotating exhibits of contemporary artists. Eclectic. Provocative. And sometimes, boring.
One of my favorite places
This Costco has the cheapest selection of fine beer and wine in the area.
For you Giants fans, this is a picture from game 7 of the World Series after the game. However, Kauffman Stadium is a great place to watch a game. Head to the right field bar for pre-game
Need I say more? Farm to table everything, just pick an item and it will be coming from a farmer near you
