Outstanding new seafood option in Covent Garden. Tiny and convivial space so make a reservation. Head chef is Japanese and his influences pop up subtly throughout the creative menu.

Gymkhana far surpassed anything I thought Indian food could be! The tasting menu was divine. Favorites were the kid goat, chick pea and potato, pomegranate raita, and an otherworldly saffron pistachio ice cream concoction!

Highest of the high teas; where a tux is always appropriate. Terrific salon; posh Rivoli bar; and every luxury from which to rule Britannia. My highest recommendation.

The oldest wine bar in London, established 1890. Great atmosphere with rickety candlelit tables situated in underground cellars with arched ceilings. Sherries, madeiras and ports served from barrels behind the bar. Open daily 11am-11pm. Located just north of Embankment station.
