Mourad Lahlou's downtown follow-up to Aziza, his successful (Michelin-starred) modern twist on Moroccan. Beautiful space, exquisite plating.
Stand-out, slightly futuristic but still readily identifiable Moroccan food with a nice amount of flair.
Aron was right!

Great sandwich counter, list changes daily. Just about everything made in-house, including the cookies and drinks. From Dennis Leary, the man behind Canteen, Golden West and the restored House of Shields.

Classic tiki bar, incredible rum selection, can get ridiculously busy. Definitely worth bringing a group for the punches. Rhachel from Kin Khao recommends the demerara dry float. The painkiller brings me straight back to the Soggy Dollar Bar.

Love this hole in the wall
Michael Mina's flagship restaurant downtown. Understated flair, updated classic flavors. Tasting menu in the dining room, a la carte available at the bar.
The tables are spaced far enough apart that you will be able to discuss THAT thing you did without censoring yourself. The food is also tasty, the service, attentive, if a touch fussy. Beautiful space. $€¥£$$$€€
My chocolate croissant here revived my faith in coffee shop pastries. Whoa yeah.
Detailed and tasty
Great higher-end dim sum, though I don't think the black cod is worth it. Shanghai, seafood dumplings all the way. Takeout window at the side is a great quick lunch option - via @eatdrinksf (Instagram)
Delish dumplings
Spacious and woody
Tasty!
Good coffee and art
Large space. Airy. Decent Mediterranean food.

Delicious Indian, more complexity and depth of flavor than you'd expect from such a casual outfit.

Your best option for sushi in Marin. Not as polished as the best of SF, but delicious. Surprisingly good wine list as well.

Mieze is one of my favorite massage therapists in San Francisco. This is a humble temple to bodywork, not a spa, but simple in the best way possible; she brings good, grounded energy and intuition to each session, as well as an excellent soundtrack.

A beautiful hidden pocket of a park on Russian Hill.
Nice miniature park. Closes at 4pm, though.
Exponentially (or is it geometrically?) more nuanced flavors than I had anticipated. Quite tasty. Brightly lit interior = consider delivery
Fantastic romantic Italian restaurant on Hyde Street. A Russian Hill gem. Fresh made pastas daily. Great Italian wine selection and the service is top-notch.
Delicious pastas and warm (very warm) service
Great cappuccino and place to read.

Reputable Turkish food.
Solid banh mi for less than $4. Be prepared for a line, or phone in your order ahead of time.

California-influenced Italian menu, sounds delicious. Bit of a Russian Hill institution but have never been! Via Meredith Finn.

Big slices; lotsa toppings. They tattoo your pizza with flavor, and their own arms with aggressive locovore motifs.
Cocktails by the Bon Vivants. Bites by Flour + Water group. Live music in the back. Encore, encore.

A (very cool) bar in the midst of the Long Now's library of books needed to restart civilization. You can't go wrong with a Hemingway daiquiri or Regent's draught punch.

Divey, music's a little loud but the place can still afford an intimate conversation. Cash only please
A nice place to take a break. Surrounded by food options. And pigeons. The rats of the sky.
Quality cafe in North Beach. Authentic, cash-only charm you can't buy somewhere else. Large cappuccino, fresh (extremely so) squeezed OJ, and a good menu make breakfast here as tasty as the ambiance is pleasant.
Comfy former barracks...you'll want to enlist.

Perhaps SF's best pizza. Contentious topic, though he won the World's Pizza Cup in Naples. Full bar.
Very serious pizza, seriously good.
Surprise: the crispy tacos are remarkable. Get them Nick's style in order to have no regrets. Funky lounge like interior, shares space with bar rouge
Some excellent things here:
Unobstructed views of the Golden Gate, SF and the Bay.
Service from hotel staff of all stripes.
It is converted old officer housing - looks nice and is comfortable inside, but is not like a modern luxury resort. The charm's different, but charm there is.
Cherries: burnt.
Obviously
This sounds too ridiculous not to waitlist/wishlist

Pretty tasty Italian food. Particularly good service. Two small rooms, slightly intimate feel, but can get loud if its crowded.
Put foam under the seats people, that would prob help acoustical issues.
Very good pizza, very nice, light atmosphere with a little bit of edge.
